GO BUILD
Go Build is a comprehensive workforce development initiative that seeks to enhance the image of the construction industry & inform young people and their “influencers” about opportunities in the skilled trades. Perceptions don’t change overnight, so Go Build deploys its message across a variety of mediums – including TV and digital advertising, social media, an engaging website, grassroots outreach, and educator tools – to engage, inform and inspire the next generation of skilled workers.
OUR IMPACT
Dwyer PR worked with industry associations including the Associated General Contractors and Associated Builders and Contractors, Gov. Haslam, state agencies, training programs, and employers across the state to launch Go Build Tennessee in May of 2016. Our work through the spring of 2019 expanded upon Go Build’s previous work in Alabama and Georgia, bringing new and evolved tools, tactics, and creative elements.
Dwyer PR’s unique approach defined Go Build Tennessee as the industry leader in construction industry recruitment efforts, successfully (and measurably) bridging the gap between supply and demand in training programs throughout Tennessee’s 95 counties. But don’t just take our word for it – the 2 year impact of our efforts reached nearly 1/3 of young people across the state with a combined total of 100 million impressions, dramatically increasing their likelihood of considering a careers in the skilled trades, and earning the recognition of AGC of America’s CEO Steve Sandherr as the “most comprehensive workforce development program” in the country.
